CCSS offers programs for Cumberland residents of all ages. Join us to learn new skills and connect with folks in your neighbourhood. Contact us directly to find out more or register for programs.
Mamacentric
Celebrating the joys & challenges of motherhood. A drop-in program designed for moms with babies to toddler aged children. Guest speakers, facilitated discussion and a chance to connect with other moms in your community.
- Facilitator: Kate Ashton
- When: Wednesdays, 3:30-5 PM
- Where: Strongstart Room at Cumberland School
- Cost: No cost. Pre-registration is not required
Family Paint Nights
Instructor will provide all the materials and guide participants through each step of the project to create a themed painting. This is a beginner friendly project open to children aged 7 and up. Each child must have an individual adult to work beside them.

- When: Thursday October 17, 6-8 PM & Thursday November 14, 6-8 PM. Register for one or both.
- Where: Cumberland School
- Cost: By donation to CCSS. Pre-registration is required.
Red Cross Babysitting Course
For Youth Ages 11-15
Participants will learn how to provide for younger children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. This course also offers youth the training to promote themselves as a babysitter to prospective parents.
- Instructor: Baird’s First Aid Services
- When: Saturday, November 2nd, 9 AM – 3:30 PM
- Where: Beaufort Multi-Purpose Room, Cumberland School
- Cost: $70/student. Bursaries are available. If financial restraints are a barrier to participating in this program please contact us directly.
