The Maypole Dance, with its origins coming from medieval times, has been a tradition in Cumberland for over one hundred years. Today, the Maypole Dance is used in celebrations world-wide in many cultures. Join us to learn the easy and fun dance and then perform it for the community on the May Day long weekend at Village Park. Along with having a good time, regular attendance and commitment is required. The performance will take place Monday May 19th following the parade.
