In partnership with the Cumberland Community Forest Society. A program for girl and girl identifying students. Join us for a leisurely trail run as a way to build up endurance, skills and strength. Program is geared towards supporting young runners in participating in local community races such as the Cumby. Will start with lengths of 3-5 km and build up to 7 km. Please let us know upon registering if your child wants to participate in the Cumby race (7 km). No class during Spring Break (March 18 or 25).

The Maypole Dance, with its origins coming from medieval times, has been a tradition in Cumberland for over one hundred years. Today, the Maypole Dance is used in celebrations world-wide in many cultures. Join us to learn the easy and fun dance and then perform it for the community on the May Day long weekend at Village Park. Along with having a good time, regular attendance and commitment is required. The performance will take place Monday May 19th following the parade.

In partnership with Cumberland Community Forest Society. An arty adventure into familiarizing yourself with the birds that live in our backyards and local forest. Each day we will go on a bird observation walk, learn about a new species and create art that represents each bird. Please be prepared with boots and gear for snow or rain, and a backpack with a water bottle. Kids can expect to learn about significant and common resident & migratory birds. Please ensure your child is interested in this subject and prepared to be outside as it makes for a more fun and engaging experience for everyone.

In partnership with Cumberland Museum & Archives. Get ready to explore and discover Cumberland's rich history and uncover some of its greatest mysteries in this exciting program. Solve murder mysteries, learn about the ghost haunting the mine, and participate in creative art-making projects connecting to community and culture at the Cumberland Museum & Archives. The instructor will meet students at the school and walk them to the museum. Students must be picked up (or walk home) from the Museum, 2680 Dunsmuir Avenue.
