Lunch Program

Our Healthy Food Program provides nourishing lunches to children & staff at Cumberland Community School. Over the past year, CCSS served 47,000 meals and 10,925 of these were provided free of charge to low-income families.

The Healthy Food Program operates Monday to Friday with a different meal offered each day of the month. Meals are sourced from local vendors, or prepared in house. The program is open to all Cumberland Community School students & staff.

How does it work?

Once a month, a menu and order form is distributed and posted online. Lunches are $5.50/regular (12oz) and $5.00/small (8oz) with subsidies available upon request. Families can choose to order as many or as few meals as they would like. Orders can be submitted online or via the paper form.

In addition, breakfast is provided at no cost, 5 days a week, to any student needing support.

ORDERING IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR.

To order online, create a new Munch-a-Lunch account.

Subsidies are available for families experiencing financial barriers to purchasing food. Subsidies are offered on a sliding scale where parents/guardians pay what they can afford (from full payment to $0.00). To request subsidy, email our Food Program Coordinator.

CCSS also provides food hamper deliveries to families who are unable to purchase groceries due to financial barriers. FMI or to request a hamper, please visit our Food Share page.
