2025 Annual General Meeting

The Cumberland Community Schools Society’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday November 18th, from 6-7:30 PM. This fall we are celebrating 25 years of community impact & engagement, along with some exciting milestones!  

CCSS was established by a group of community members in August 2000, and initially offered a lunch program, after-school activities and community programs. Twenty-five years later these programs are still going strong, providing nutritious food and accessible recreational opportunities for children, youth & families in our Village. 

As our community has evolved, CCSS has worked hard to introduce programs that meet the needs of our changing population. In 2015, we established a drop-in Youth Centre, providing a safe and inclusive space for youth to spend time after school and in the evenings. Five years ago, we collaborated with community partners to establish the Cumberland Food Share, a community based initiative aimed at building a more food secure community. 

Join us at our AGM to learn more about CCSS and connect with our team. Agenda will include our annual impact report, financial report and board elections. We’ll also be sharing our updated Strategic Plan, detailing our key priorities of championing food security, offering inclusive programming, and strengthening our capacity to serve the community. 

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. CCSS members in good standing may vote at the AGM.
